this is not an exhaust problem, nor is it 4x4 related. need to make sure that you post in the approiate forum, and use an approiate title

you really didnt say what ur problem is. Is ur truck a 91? You say its injected, then u say u have 7-9 psi at the carb. Which is it?

7-9 psi t the carb would be too much anyway, put on a regulator and try 5, if that is your problem. If I understand correctly you are using a pump from a FI truck to feed a carb, you will need a regulator.

mzoomora, I think you nailed it. It sounds like that the problem. It might be worth droping the tank, removing the pump, and installing an inline 4-7 psi pump. Napa sells them for @ 40.00 or so. The tank and sending unit I have on mine is from a 92 blazer. I bought them from a guy who tried to knock down telephone poles with his blazer after a night of drinking. He wrecked the truck 3 days after I put the parts in. I bought the wreck truck for $50.00. I would use the pump so I bought a NAPA one.
