rattlin noise in the rear

every time i accelerate at a low rpm, (i know it\'s sad) i get a rattling noise towards the back. especially when i\'m in 2nd & 3rd. so is this noise coming from the 2\" diameter hole in my muffler or do i need to replace my u-joints?

could it be engine ping coming from that exhaust hole

If you already know theres an issue with the exhaust then check the ujoints. It\'s probubly the the baffles in the muffler rattlling. But better safe ... ya know.
