I bought a 92 truck, pretty much only for the rear end. Was supposed to be a 4.11 posi spool. Well, it has a messed up spool, they didnt use the c-clip eliminators with it. So, there\'s a lot of play, and is wrecking the spool. And, when I was changing the fluid, 41-11 was stamped on the ring gear. Which is 3.73\'s, not 4.11\'s. So, I pretty much got boned.

I picked up a SLP zexel the other day to replace it. For under $450, I can have that new posi, and the 4.10 gears that I want installed. I want to eventually upgrade to atleast the 8.5, but this should hold up hopefully till after next season.

Anybody ever use one? Why are they so cheap?

Sorry to hear Ya got shafted....can\'t get Your money back??? Hopefully there is enough other parts on the truck to sell and recover some funds...

I think SLP refers to their OEM takeouts as zexels also, because their \"heavy duty\" zexel units are about 500 dollars alone...might wanna check with them, ....
