After measuring a 350 block engine mounting point and a 4.3 engine mounting point and doing a little math..I\'m planning on using some 1/2\" flat stock to move the frame mounts up around 4 11/16\" give or take a little with slotted holes for frame mount itself and just drilling holes to mount the flat stock to the crossmember...I can get the flat stock free..and do what little fabrication is needed for nothing also...in theory this will work...any thoughts or previous experiences with doing this..Im trying to make my first v8 swap a weekend project

A guy at hte body shop did one that way almost. But he had got it all bolted to the engine then set it the the truck where he wanted it and weld the plates to the body. I didn\'t really notice anything out of the ordinary that I would have been concerned with.

All\'s I can say is GOOD LUCK on the \"Weekend\" project. LOL I haven\'t heard of anyone being able to do it in a weekend.

I will...and yeah, Im figuring ill be out of a truck for more than the weekend..but Im going to do everything I can to get it going asap....
