How much power will I lose by using the 400 tranny. Is a lot of power that will be lost or a little. Thanks

Normally automatics lose 18-22% of the engine power and TH400 is on the high end when compared to the TH350. More internal rotating mass means more power loss, but also means more stength. You need to decide if you need the added strength.

I have heard many people say, that although the TH400 is heavier and less efficient than a TH350, the vehicle is usually quicker, or very similar to original.

Thanks. 22% power lose is not that bad. I will be installign the 400 just for the strength factor.
