what happened:

yest me and my room mate left the apt got half block down the road shifting out of first into second and lost all pressure, clutch pedal went to the floor. so i power shifted into 1st and easyed into a parking lot that was quarter mile away. with it in neutral running theres a clanking noise coming from under the car (sounds like in tranny). now it wont even start up. i\'m thinking this is the slave cyliner or clutch. any thoughts?

this is a 2000 Mustang GT 4.6 SOHC 5-speed T-45 (i believe)

does anyone know if the clutch is hydraulic or cable?

Thats hydraulic clutch. Could be bad clutch hydraulics, but could also be the pressure plate or throw out bearing also. Check for fluid leaks first, then go from there with mechanical parts.

well just got a reply on a mustang board that all mustangs are cable with no hydraulic clutch so its not a slave cylinder, which means its the clutch cable or the clutch itself
