Yeah There is 3 little bolts in the colum, I could only get to two of them... but it tightened them up, and its been holding good for a while...

I had this problem on 2 of my trucks. There was a great article on gnttype.org, but the site is currently down. Basicly, just keep ripping things apart until you see three bolts. There\'s a special tool (forget what it\'s called) for getting it apart. It holds down a plate so you can remove a clip. Also, there are 2 pins on each side that the column tilts on. They can be pulled out by threading a bolt into the center and pulling them out with pliers. After the two pins are out, the three offending bolts are right underneath.

The best thing to do is put lock tite on the two bolts you can get to. I have probably done 100 of these columns for the same problem. To get to the third bolt, the column has to be taken almost all apart. This does require special tools,(pivot pin puller, lock plate remover)the bolts are a star design. I have a socket I bought from Snap-On to tighten them, but a 1/4\"12 point socket will also do the trick. All of the tools needed are available at your local auto parts store, the bad thing is most of the car parts guys dont know what the tools are for, at least that has been ny experience in my area. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_eek.gif

Harbour Freight sells a steering wheel puller and it is only a few dollars. If you do not have one around you, go to HarbourFreight.Com.

I didn\'t think getting to the third bolt was too hard. You have to pull a lot apart, but it\'s fairly easy.
