I will be running a 350 that will not be set back any and want to know what is the best Fan and Radiator combo to go with...I was thinking dual electric fans with a alum. vette radiator? Also how much work is involved when the Vette radiator and dual electric fans are stuck in the truck?

i just got my truck on the road and i still have some cooling problems. i used the 87 vette aluminum radiator, a milodon high volume water pump, and flex fan, and a 10 electric fan in front of the radiator. it stays 180 driving it but stopped and idling it will climb to 210-220 i dont know but im getting pretty pissed. i would think a vette radiator would cool it enough but i doesnt. some people say that its because my motor isnt stock but i done buy it. oh ya the radiator fit good. all i did is built some new brackets to mount it with.

Here is my frigging problem. I drive in town and in stop and go traffic never getting over 30 mph and the damn thing runs a steady 180. I speed up to 55 or faster and the god damn thing gets hotter. If i get up to 70 the friggerr runs 210. I am so frigging pissed. WTF!!!!!!!

I have a 4 core Griffin aluminum radiator and a flex-o-lite 14\" engine driven fan w/ a shroud. I tried e-fans and they never kept the engine cool and just killed the battery. I just don\'t know why it gets hotter w/ more air going through it at high speeds.

for the longest time i had trouble with the truck running cool when moving but come traffic or long idling time FORGET IT!! i recomend you use a rad from a 88 monte carlo ss 3 core and 2 14 inch electric fans on the out side of the rad hook the fans up so they suck air and blow it through the rad towards engine.have the fans running all the time. don\'t bother usinga flex fan,there\'snot enough space between the fan and the rad for anything useful to happen.my buddy bought a be-cool alum. rad specifically for this conv. and paid about 300.00 american and yet still has an over heating problem. i can let my truck idle for two weeks and it wount go above 190 degrees. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_eek.gif davey_hudson@hotmail.com

my truck is a 1992 with a 350ci tunnel ram and 2 600cfm holley carbs with 4.11 gears and a .580 soild cam with a 3500 stall in it...all i have for cooling is a radiator out of a camaro ...with a single 12in puller fan and a 180 stat in it ..and no shroud....in traffic i turn the fan on and it onlys run 190-195 and running down the high way i turn the fan off.if i was you just make sure the radiator is cleaned out really good and the pump is in good shape and the belt to the pump is not slipping...make sure that you have a themstat in the truck...that is what slows the water down and lets the water get cooled off by the air through the radiator..thats just my 2 cents worth

Iv\'e got the stock 4.3 radiator, and the flexolite 12\" dual electric, trimline fans. 180 thermo, and some water wetter. It sat in my driveway today, at idle, never going over 180 degree\'s. Sat there like that for at least 10 minutes in 85 degree heat.

My stock 4.3 radiator cools better than the vette radiator. Runs 7-10 degrees cooler with just the 4.3 radiator in. Thats also kinda small to be running 2 electric fans on it.

I\'ve always had problems idling in traffic. But, I never did anything about it. Just didn\'t let it sit anywhere, lol. I finally got some time and money to work on it. I\'ve got a mild 350, 355 hp. Many plans for much more. Shooting for 600 hp 350 daily driver.

Mine is a 383, Be-cool rad. one 14\'\' electric up front and 2 8\'\' behind, 160t-stat. I cant let it idle for 5 min sitting still but movin it runs about 190-200.
