Just about everyone has some kill stories from street racing. Personally, I haven\'t really had anyone good try me. Its always punks in a pos, or http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/smileJap.gifrs. I\'ve never even raced a stang. Tried last night with one, a http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/smileJap.gifd out one with SS racing stripes. He wouldn\'t go from a stop, or roll. Posi rules. Should have seen his face when my blazer cocked sideways at the posted speed limit,(only 35) Turns out, it was an old friend,and her new boyfriend. Seen them both later that night at a party. Asked him why he wouldn\'t go, he said he couldn\'t, he was holding. What a bunch of bs.
Anyways, what have you lost to? I\'ve only lost 1 race, and it was a latest gen RX7. Bad part is, it was my fault. We were going from a roll,I was in 5th. Tried going to 3rd, and wouldn\'t go. Some reason, it just woulnd\'t go. Truethfully, I should have hit 2nd instead. He wouldn\'t go from a dead stop at the next light. Its ok, I know where he lives, I\'ll get him eventually.

ok figure this one out!
I bet i 1990 z28 wit ha 350 and a 5 speed. It was lowered with low profile tires and some exhaust work.
But i lost to a nissan, ithink it was 280Z or something. it was in crappy shape and it had a http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/smileJap.gifr exhaust on it.I thougt i would have have smoked him but he beat me.
Also when i raced the z28 my 700r4 was slipping like crazy, it went into have the tranny rebuilt a week after that race. but when i raced the nissan i had my rebuilt tranny. go figure!

i can beat 5l mustangs no problem but then the other night some idiot in a 4 dor grand am tried racing me and i lost by abut a car length... only to find out later that he pulled off 2 of my plug wires!! what a cheap *beeep * then he wouldn\'t race me again i\'m puttin my new headers, intake, carb and msd ignition on this winter so in the srping i should pick up a little bit i might get some different heads too i\'m tryin to find some vortec\'s

lol, shouldn\'t you have noticed the plug wires missing? I mean running on 6 cyl seems like it would be really rough and power loss tremendous. hell, i notice when im missing on one plug.

One time I went crusin in my full size (74 K5 Blazer) well I saw this fast looking Mustang. I pulled up to him and put it in neutral and started revvin up my motor(a puny 305) and he took off and laid rubber goin 45mph! I didn\'t try to catch up to him. Oh yeah it was turboed too.
i lost to a newer corvette, when i had the 305. i sure would like to race him again.

I haven\'t had to many races since mines been together. Raced my brothers GTA the other night, took him by about 5 car lenghts off the line but he held with me the rest of the way. Not bad considering he\'s got about $6,000 in his motor. Other than that nobody really wants to race. I tried acouple stangs but they wouldn\'t go. Theres alot of my friends that say there faster, but they won\'t race, if they don\'t race then i can\'t win and they can keep talking..i hate people like that. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_mad.gif

my best (worst) loss was awsome it was in my monte ss it ran mid 14s on street tires with an open rear diff.anyway i just started working at a new job and the one guy had a bad mustang his liscence plate said \"10secGT\" we got beside eachother at a light at lunch i had another guy from work with me he said that the mustang guy wouldnt even try, but i nailed it any way the next thing i say was ALL of his wheel well as he flew by me kicked my butt but was awsome to see--i saw him at the track run a 10.40

Hope you guys don\'t have any animosity toward us Stangers...hehe. We don\'t mean no harm.
No S10 for me, though I\'ve laid it to a couple of them at the track pretty good. I have a running challenge put up against Lightweight whenever he\'s ready. Gonna be a great race if he\'ll go easy on me. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

I have only raced a couple times on the street. However there is a lot of street racing in my area with a lot of fast cars around Alton, IL. I have only street raced three times winning all three. All races occured with the stock heads, ignition, street tires, hydraulic cam, torker intake. #1. Beat a 440 Challenger by 2 cars from a 20 mph roll.
#2. Beat my other car(99 SS Camaro 6 Speed) with my friend driving it by 2 1/2 cars from a stop. #3. 01 Cobra badly from a 10 mph roll going to Gateway International Raceway where they wouldnt let me run without a battery hold down. Hopefully, I will get in the mix next year with the big guns http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif

We usually run around Wood River. We race out on 255, Wanda Road etc. Where are you from? We meet at the Hardees in Wood River or at KFC across from Wal Mart. We\'ll have to meet up sometime.

One time in my 1978 Monte (pretty much a stock 350/350 combo)I pulled up next to some punk in his Acura Integra, he had it all *beeped* out with graphics and stickers and big uber wing on the back, lined up with him went head to head with him from a dead start at about a buck ten in 3rd gear(car had some crazy 2.21 rear gear er something from the factory i could do better than 70 in 1st) little punk started to pull away, talking crap and making stupid hand gestures, i dumped my gear shift in 2nd and walked his punk *beeep*, the look on his face was phttp://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/smileJap.gifless! his mouth dropped wide open when that ol boat blew the doors off his http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/smileJap.gifr LOVED IT also beat older supra in with that car full of little punk thug wanna bees. it was sweet. Last week raced some lil rich punk in his 94 vette with my camaro trans slippin and all took that lil punk too. I don\'t street race mine...yeah right! LOL
My daughter is the one that usally does that and say\'s she hasn\'t been beat yet.
The ones I have raced are my buddies big block Chevelle and anothers small block tubbed Chevelle. I have no problem keeping up with either one.
I built mine to drive, it just happens to be quite quick and a blast to blow the doors off of those damn http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/smileJap.gif burners.

I went to indianapolis motor speedway and raced a rustang 5.slow, a camaro, and another small block s-10. Beat all of them.

Everyone on the Wood River issue: I go to school at Lindenwood but I will be home in Wood River tonight (Fri Nov http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_cool.gif. I will be around KFC by emissions, Hardees, etc. If you guys come out around 1030 i\'ll be out in it. It is supposed to be really nice outside. I shouldn\'t be too hard to find, v8 s10\'s usually aren\'t .

I was at hardees for a while, maybe 11 and then we went to the emissions place by kfc. there was a 79 Z28 and an 11 sec N/A Monte Carlo up there with me. The monte now has a cheater kit. should have stopped by and said hello

It is Quasar Blue, has a primered 4 3/4 UP cowl hood, centerline convo pros, ET Streets in the rear. umm.......primered door jams and a black tonneau cover. I was out on fri and sat night. i will be back in town on tues night so......
