I have a 84 s10 4x4 that is a bare bones model. No nothing carpet, gauges, nothing.
Anyone know how much work to put factory gauges in? I have a set but do I need the wiring harness to or can I just bolt in the gauges?
Thanks

V8 or what? If it is a V8 you should be able to put on some aftermarket gauges like Oil Pressure and Water Temp. A tach would also be easy just plug it into the distributor cap. I dont know about a speedometer yet.

Naw, it\'s just stock for now (2.http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_cool.gif
I just don\'t like the idiot lights and even when the v8 goes in, I like the look of factory gauges better. I will add a tach tho.

yea, you can just bolt them in. but on the other hand if u want them to work u will have to have some kind of a harness! the best thing i can tell u is to just get in there and see what u need and go from there. good luck! if u had a little xtra $ you\'ve got a good start to do some cool custom work with after market gauges! maybe digital or something. use your imagination. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif
