the only way someone would want to lift their s-truck s if they didn;t care about speed.... lowering the trucks makes them more stable at higher speeds because of the lower center of gravity, even if i had a 4x4 i\'d lower it and put a awd transfer case in it out of a astro minivan and turn it into awd... most of the powple on this site care about speed and handling not how much mud they can get through... incase no one noticed but 2wd s-series trucks suck for slippery conditions... i know if i get mine in about an inch of snow on the slightes incline i\'m screwed... mind you thats with 11\" wide tires too but still

i lowered mine because its a 2WD if it was 4WD then i would lift the sucker to the sky. To lift a 2WD is just plain idiotic in my opinion. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

not only does it lower the center of gravity and make it handle better but you can also gain speed because you want to force as much air OVER the truck as you can, rather than UNDER the truck. I guess you can refer to this as aerodynamics, although when i hear aerodynamic i think more along the lines of how the body is shaped. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif

As the title of this web site says in not so many words. STOCK SUCKS .
Everything I own is slammed or lifted, except Ma ma\'s truck main word is ma ma, its 4X4 and shes only 4\'11\", she says no lift.

I like the way mine rests on the frame rails when I park it, and how it tucks the purdy 18s. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif

I guess if you want the pre-runner look then go for it. If I lived where there was a desert I would think about it.
