Hi, I have an OE gauge cluster with a tach from an \'84 S10 and I\'d like to put this in my \'85 S10 that doesn\'t have a factory tach. Can anyone assist in a wiring diagram? Or perhaps give me any advice on how to retro-fit this to my truck?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

im about to do the same thing except its going in a 84. heres what i noticed so far.if you look behind the tach where the wires plug in look close on the circut board it is printed below the male connectors it reads grnd for the ground wire coil for the hot side of the coil and B+ for the hot.now you have the wiring dir. hope that helped.if you know how to change them from 6 to 8 cyl.let me know.

Thanks, I didn\'t even notice that. Now all I have to do is figure out the other gauges.

try this link:

That is straight out of the conversion manual.

i haven\'t seen a conversion manual. Does it work for a \'90 digital cluster.

Digital dashes have a completely different wiring harness and sensors.

Regarding the tach, I read all that stuff and took the easy way out. I column mounted a tach in front of the original 6 cyl tach. I used a big one so you can\'t even see the recess in the cluster. It is easier to read, has a shift light and recall. None of which can be said for the OEM.
