i got an oem gauge cluster off ebay with a tach. how do i tell if it is for a 4,6,or 8 cyl.and how can i change it.thx http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif

I would have to say it is probably from a V-6 truck. I don\'t recall seeing any 4 cyl trucks with a tach and of course unless it\'s a 2003 or newer Trail Blazer they never came with a
V-8.

not sure what year it is but im going to put it in a 84 and by the end of summer i hope to have a v-8 in it so i wanted to use the stock tach if i can figure out how to change it
i could tell you how if you could tell me what year the cluster is

i have the same question for mine, its going into an 85..... and if i remember correctly its form an 85, but i also got mine on ebay.

\"The Book\" explains this in very great detail.
Basically you need to solder on additional resistors.
