Onstar Mirror

i have an onstar mirror with compass and temp and i am looking for the harness, all i want to do is use the compass and temp features? any ideas??

Depends on whether or not it is controlled in the computer, or on the mirror. How many wires are coming off of it? Sounds like a good idea. Maybe I\'ll put one in my truck too.

well i dont have a harness, but there looks to be about a 20 pin connector

That ain\'t gonna be easy. If your lucky, the electronics for compass and stuff are in the mirror and all it needs is power. But your going to need the pin out for that connector.

If there\'s a 20 pin connector chances are it is controlled by the ecu, bcm or a separate module altogether. you might be able to get the controller from a salvage yard and make it work...
