Comin up short..

I dont think my tranny dipstick is reading right.Gonna pull the pan to change the fluid and filter this weekend. Anybody know how much of the dipstick should actually be visable with the pan off? It shouldnt bottom out on the pan, right? Thought it would be a good time to make this adjustment since Ill have the pan off anyways. By the way, its a turbo 350..

Did you change either the tube or the dipstick?

I don\'t know the distance it should stick out. When the tube is properly seated the bulge in the bottom of the tube should be @ even with the seal. The dipstick should be a matched item. So it should read accuartely.

is the pan stock or is a aftermarket deep pan
