2.5 T-5 to 4.3 700-R4 ( newbie needs help )

I want to swap out the tired 2.5 and 5 spd in my 91 2wd pick. I have a 89 S10 blazer 4x4 witha 4.3. I\'m told I can\'t use the 700-R4 in the blazer cause it\'s a 4x4, but I also have an 85 camaro with a 700-R4. Would I be able to put the 4.3 and the tranny from the camaro the pick up? I need all the advise I can get cause since the 2.5 decided to crap out on me I don\'t have a drivable vehicle. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_frown.gif

85 camaro w/700r4 but what engine?



If the camaro has a v8 then the tranny will bolt in to the 4.3L you plan on moving to the 2wd. You will also need a 2wd oil pan, pump and pickup tube. If the camaro was a v8 and its a running piece than wouldn\'t it be easier to swap the whole driveline from the camaro to the 2wd s?

If the camaro has a 2.8L then now it won\'t work with the 4.3L.

The camaro is a 2.8. Well that sucks. Looks I need to go car shopping now. Thanks though atleast now I know where I stand.
