water pump

I am going to be putting a 383 stroker in my 1989 S-10, I was wondering if an electric water pump would work. It is goin to be driven on the street alot, so i was wondering if anyone had one or know what brand to get. Thanks

I\'m not sure But I think the electric water pumps are meant for racing... 1/4 mile. I don\'t know how reliable it would be. I suggest a typical belt driven one.

I would go engine drivin, the electric are for racing and I would not use one for something I was going to be driving on the stree t for any amount of time.

Do not get an electric water pump unless your truck is trailored to the strip, they are not meant for the street.

If you are willing to pay that kinda money for an electric pump..I would suggest just going with an aluminum engine driven pump.

PROFORM... makes an electric water pump for the street.. run like $160 do a search for proform and you\'ll find it.
