It is a little more difficult than an auto, not sure why though. If you plan on having some good power I would not use that tranny. That is why on the iroc z\'s with the 350\'s they used the 700R4 and not the 5 spd found on the 305\'s. Can\'t handle the power for long.

My buddies IROC Z28 is a tpi 350 5 speed.

They\'re decent trannies. Guy I know was using one in his truck. Held up behind his motor he built. Went 12.20 @120 mph.

One thing, you\'ll have to modify headers or run stock manifolds. Shorties put the collector right into the clutch slave cylinder and bellhousing mount.

What year IrocZ? Because if it is 80\'s the 350 iroc tpi only came with the corvette 700R4 tranny, unless this guy has changed it. My friends dad has an 87 iroc z tpi and is now selling it for 11500 canadian with 150000 km and has never seen snow. It has headers, chip, shift kit, custom 3 inch exhaust etc.
