Is it possible to swap 1982-90 grille with a 1991-93 Grille. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

I swapped mine, but since the headlights on the the 91-93s are higher I made relocators that move the headlights down about a 1\".

It\'s better to switch to the later radiator support though so it will look more factory and it will all fit together better. Also if you dont use the later model rad support the grill will stick out about 1/4\" from the hood

I had an 89 S-10 blazer with a 92 grille.. i didnt have to relocate anything. The radiator support has a crap load of little holes in it.. you know those little plastic inserts that your grille screws go into... just use those, you may have to move them to new spots but.. the radiator supports from 82-94 are all the same as far as im concerned.. just with or without A/C.

One other thing.. you have to take off your front valance (metal peice under grille) to fit the 91+ grille in there cuz its all 1 peice.

I knew i would have to get rid of the filler panel, but is all you had buy was the 91-93 grill? it seems like the corner lens are different. Because I\'m planning on buying a reproduced sonoma grill from LMC. And what about it sticking out passed the hood on yours?

The marker lights are the same.

The grille sticks out about 1/4\" past the hood where as if you changed the radiator support it is flush like its supposed to be.... Nobody notices that though unless its pointed out.

If you want to do it right use the 91-93 radiator support. They are different! I sell parts and have for over 20 years now, trust me they are not the same as the 82-90 supports. My 82 has the right support and 91-93 GMC grille in it. The supports are only about 80 bucks and worth not have to do things half assed.
