automatic fan control switch

how does this work..it is the unit that is on the parts store..for like 33$$ how does it hook up..

the automatic fan control switch is a rehostat style switch it uses a thermestate module that you put against your rad for it to know the temp of the coolant when ever the coolant reaches a certain temperature the rehostate spring expands and makes contact ith a ground source and the fan comes on. pretty simple and old tech but works well.
