What is the difference between the two? I plan to do a v8 swap this summer and was thinking about a mini spool for my stock rear end. I just need to know what the difference between the two are. Thanx

Unless you are only driving it on the track, don\'t. Get a posi unit. I bought a rear with a mini spool, and from turning corners, its all messed up. That, and the guy kept the c-clips, instead of using the eliminators like he was supposed to. Maybe thats why there\'s like 1/2 play in the axles. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif

spool\'s aren\'t all that bad just don\'t plan on turning corners with it... if the proper c clip elimintor kit is used it can be street drivin on the odd ocasion and isn;t gunna hurt anything but i\'d also reccomend getting a posi carrier out of a different vehicle

I have a welded carrier in my 7 1/2 . I drive it on the street.Just don\'t stuff your foot into it on corner and watch out for manhole covers on the road or other wise you will be going home on a hook. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

I have a spool in my truck, it\'s not that bad.. being a pickup its light in the back so it kinda just floats when you turn. If your gunna drive it on the street, just put at least 20PSI in yer tires and you shouldn\'t have a problem. I run mine with 8psi (Hoosier DOT Quick Times) and it has NEVER chattered around a turn... only thing that makes it hard to drive on the street is cuz it just doesn\'t ... like to turn, it\'ll fight you. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif
Maybe I\'m just lucky.. dunno...
