i am using all the brackets and accessories from my 94 4.3 on my 350 and would prefer a engine driven fan. does anyone know if a flex-a-lite 1518 reverse rotation fan will clear the 4.3 accesories with a one inch spacer. in one of JTRs books they use this combo but it is on camaro accesories. and i am setting the engine back atleast 1 inch but wanting to leave the ratiader in stock location and run the a/c

i needed to run a 2 inch spacer to clear my accessories. all the assessories and bracketry are out of a caprice. good luck with that radiator man. i had to push mine foreward.

I use a 17\" flex fan. I don\'t have ac but I do have a plow pump. The spacer I use is 2 1/2 long. My rad was moved forward to make more room in the engine compartment. As long as you have @ 1 inch clearnce between the fan and the rad it should be fine. What I had done was I bought 3 spacer kits and returned the ones I didn\'t need.

Measure the total distance between the rad nose and the rad. Then subtrat 1 1/2 inch. That the rest of the distance should be in the correct depth for the space you could use. Just make sure the fan clears the pullys. You should only need @ 1/2\" away from the closest pulley because the flex fan flexs forward.
