bad luck or bad install ?

i\'ve been having problems with howe racing parts! 6 months ago i bought a hyd. throw out bearing from summit because of clearance issuse with headers and went to bleed the thing it began pouring fluid between the bearing and the piece it slides on that is mounted to tranny. so i took it out and sent it back and got another one. well, the new one seemed to work fine until 2 weeks ago. keep in mind too, that i\'ve put only about 50 mile on this new part! howe sends shims with the thing, but were not needed because installed bearing barely touches pressure plate. to make a long story short (to late 4 that) has anyone else run into this problem, or is it just me!!! seriously thinking of taking 4 speed out and just going automatic! i would like to get some opinions before i decide. thanks,Brandon http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif

I have run those hydraulic throwout bearings for years without problems. There are two styles (flat face and rounded face) and you need to use the one that matches your pressure plate. That would be the only issue I\'ve ever had. Hope your next one works.
