Got my ceramic coated patriot\'s today, look great, thanks mike. they fit pretty well, but the drivers side one is kind of close to the control arm.. maybe 1/8\" or less.. i did a little research, someone asked about this before and options were to grind a little off the arm, make a dent in the header, or shim the mount.. So i might grind off the arm a little and shim the mount.. is this a good idea? The motor\'s as far back as it can be w/o messing around with the trans crossmember. Also what is a decent amount of clearance there? 1/4\"? All feedback is a swell thing.. thank you

I would grind the arm rather than dent the header. You might damage the ceramic coating. Also, assuming you are talking about the upper arm being close to the bottom of the header, remember the driver side of the engine will tend to lift under acceleration giving more clearance.
