T-56 Question

Im looking for a T-56 for my project S-10 pickup. I know they come in the camaro\'s and firebirds but they also come in the mustang cobras. Would it be possible to use a T-56 out of a cobra? Is it the same?

Im sure you could modify one to work, but why? Im sure a 6 speed from a new cobra is gonna run a lot more than a LT1 6 speed from an F-body.

Well Im looking on ebay for a T-56 and came across one from a cobra at a good price. Would the modifications be to difficult?

Most tranny that go into ford are a \'one piece\' design. I would assume you would have to buy an adapter plate to make it work. - If they make an adapter plate for that transformation.
