I found a blazer for sale with a 350. He said it had 305 heads. I have always been told that a 305 head on a 350 would make the compression ratio so high,it would not run right. What do yall think?

It will run right, just have more compression, and most likely a little less flow.

Ask him what pistons are in it, and you can figure out the round about compression

even with a 4-valve relive piston and 305 heads.it will be around 9.5 or 10..maybe 10.5.the stock 305 heads have small 58 cc chambers..

depends on what the motor is going to be used for.....they just do not flow worth a crap...in stock form...the 305 H.O motor only came with like 1.94 maybe...it may even be the small 1.84...and both had 1.50 exaust valves...and have a big o smog port rught in the center...for a stock motor or very mild motor they are ok...my cousin had a set with 1.94 and 1.60 valves in them and his car ran 11.70\'s in a ugkly monza..but it was a 400 and with that big bore motor the compression was like 12 to 1...with a 58 cc head
