I need to replace the old transmission dipstick tube. How would I go about doing it without it taking forever. This question might sound stupid, but its worth peoples opion.

Remove the tranny bolt that holds in the dipstick tube to the tranny. It should be the middle bolt on the right side which bolts the engine to the tranny. Next, make sure you won\'t pull any wires out when you pull it out. Grab the tube and yank it out. Once you have it out it will spill some fluid on the ground. Install a new seal and put some fluid on the tube end before installing to let it go together nice and easy. Put the bolt back in. lower the truck, Start it, put it in all gears, check the fluid level and refill as needed.
