I have a 92 extended cab 4.3 TBI truck. Which sensors are for Oil pressure and water temperture. I know the fuel guage, volt meter, and speedo will be ok. I need to know which ones these are since i wont to put them into my v8 when i put it in so that i can still use my factory guages. Also what is the best place to put these? I planned on putting the water temp guage in the intake but i have no clue about the oil pressure guage. the motor is a 74 chevy 350.

Most SBC the oil pressure fitting is behind the intake - under the distributor. Some had an extra spot located above the oil filter in the side of the block.

I used the sending units for the stock 2.8L, the sensor doesn\'t know the differance. Oil pressure is oil presure and the temp sender know hoe to check temp.

The 4.3 gauge temp sensor is in the left head and has one green wire going to it. The one on the 4.3 near the thermostat, with 2 wires, is the manifold temp sensor for the ECM. Your engine may not have the appropriate hole in the head. Just put it in the intake where the engines original one was. Might need a brass adapter for diameter. From any hardware store.

Your 4.3\'s oil pressure gauge is run by the brown middle wire in the tall cylinderical sensor behind the distributor. The outer two wires control the fuel pump. If you are using an electric pump on your new engine they will be helpful. If not ignore them.

thank you for the reply. i am using my stock fuel pump so i will ake sure to use all of the wires on my oil pressure unit.
