Need some help. Thanks in advance.

I\'m looking into a GM Crate 350 and 700R4 swap into my 85 S10 Blazer 4x4. I have a suspension lift so the oil pan should not be a problem.

My question is about the transfer case. Does everything hook right up? Anything else need to be done?

I have the JTR book and it says something about havingt to install my current output shaft into the new 700R4. Does this have to be done? How hard is that to do?

If it\'s too much of a hassle, I may just go the Turbo 350 route, anyone have experience with that?

Thanks

You need a 4x4 tranny or rebuild one into a 4x4 tranny. after that its pretty much plug and play with your original parts.

I priced one at a local yard and they wanted $750. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_eek.gif http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_eek.gif for a used one
