Hey guys I am starting my swap and I have decided to run a carb. I have bought the 2.8 mounts and was wanting to know if I will have enough room for a stock type hei or will it be to tight?
Thanks

You should have room for the stock HEI. My 83 had room it is tight but it fits. I tried to put an Accel super coil on it and it wouldn\'t fit, so I pulled the coil out of the plastic housing and put it into the stock HEI housing. What block engine mounts are you using?

I\'ve got my motor almost all the way back with the Stealth Mounts, and I\'ve got plenty of room.
I even recently added a set of tall valve covers, and have had no issues with the AC or brake booster.
