Any body running the patriot headers that sell on this site for $129? Right now i am running mainfolds, but these are inexpensive, and i want to make sure they will be ok. Thanks http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_cool.gif

Im running them on my truck..everything is a really good fit. Only thing I didnt like is the paint burns off with in the first 5mins of running the truck, but cant really complain cause they are inexpensive and fit great.
thats not paint, it\'s just a coating to keep them from rusting while in the box.

i bought the ceramic coated jobbies, same exact header.. $280 i think though.. but they\'ll always look good and keep underhood temp down a little, which i think is sometimes a problem from what i\'ve read. Seem to fit pretty good.

Just got mine yesterday was trying to use manifolds from the 70s sure wish I had them earlier.Sure will be nice to mount the engine back in the center.I wanted the manifolds for quietness but it was too much of a pain trying to make them clear steering and body and room for pipes. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_cool.gif

Brat,
the manifolds you were using are to begin with are incorrect. I\'m sure if you used the camaro manis that were in the 84-92 with the 305, you would be fine.
I myself is getting the manifolds becuase according to the site, i can\'t use the patriot headers with a Manual tranny http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_frown.gifhttp://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_frown.gifhttp://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_frown.gif

I have a 73 engine the newer manifolds dont hit all the bolt holes and I dont want an adapter(another place to leak)Everything was fine except passenger side was close to firewall and would need a sharp bend to clear.Headers will allow more room on drivers side so engine can be centered. Now a new problem the wife says no more parts baked in her oven(DUPLICOLOR CERAMIC) Guess Igotta wait till she leaves for work
