Do any of you have an Elderbrock carb & performer manifold? If so did you have any problems hooking the throttle to it properly. It seems like my throttle cable doesn\'t extend all the way out when stomping the pedal. So right now I have it \"ghetto\" rigged. Can anyone help here?

I used to have that set up. mine would break all the time cause it was getting in a bind. I went to the wrecking yard and bought one out of a full size chevy of close to the same year, and then adjusted it inside the truck by soldering a piece on the end so i could get wide open throttle.

I used the Mr. Gasket throttle cable/kickdown bracket and I had to trim the casing on the throttle cable a little. I also had to bend the gas pedal arm out a bit to get full throttle.

I just bought an adjustable bracket, it worked well with the stock cable but changed it later to a full size chevy truck one. (shorter)

I have the lokar throttle cable. It works very nicely and looks great too. It comes with a bracket that mounts to the carb stud. I used to have a performer RPM and performer carb and it worked fine. The lokar dipsticks and cables are definately worth the money.
