I am doing a dual exhaust system with an x pipe. I would like to know what is a better exhaust flowmasters or borla. I am looking for a powerful tone and great performace with not of interior sound.

A powerful tone with low interior resonance would be a Flowmaster 40 Series Delta Flow.

Flowmaster sounds nice but only lasts 3 -4 years on average. You will pay for the borla but the mufflers will outlast you and they sound awesome but it is deffinitely a unique sound, some poeple don\'t like it.

I have the non-delta flow Flowmaster 40\'s, and they are too loud with too much interior resonance. I had borla on a different car, and I liked the sound much better. You pay more for Borla though, plus the engine package makes a huge difference. A mild engine will sound way different with the same exhaust.

If I was going to get the flowmaster I was going to get them stainless steel.

you cant beat the sound of a flowmaster but if you want performance and great sound i would go with magnaflow great sound and the best performance for the price 4-5 decibles quieter but flow better good luck

One of the guys at work put a magnaflow on his truck, his engine is stock but it still seemed very quiet to me. I could barely tell if it was even louder than oem. They are a very high quality muffler and they are a straight through design so I imagine it flows very well.

I have 2 flowmaster Super 40 series mufflers on my truck. It still has a 2.8 in it, but with those mufflers, a mild street cam, .30 over and hedman headers, it sounds like a sbc. It fools people all the time. I am keeping the mufflers for the v8 conversion because I was so impressed with them.

I dont know why everyone likes a muffler becasue they flow better....a Flowmaster might not flow as well as a competetor\'s muffler, but WILL make more power.

I like spintech mufflers myself. Compared to a flowmaster, its a much tighter cleaner sounding exhuast note. And the muffler itself is a hell of a lot more durable than a flowmaster.

I love flowmaster. To me nothing bets the sound of the original 40 series. Ive had one on my 1500 for 4 years and it is still in great shape. With all the mud and everything.
