Oil sender hole is at the back of the block there. Could it be the sender is bad? Cracked? If it is w/ 75 psi it would leak like a gusher.

The rubber seals that come in many kits are terrible. I usually fill the area w/ good bead of RTV silcone (gasket maker), bolt on intake then let it sit for a few hours to cure. Haven\'t had one leak yet. Yet?

how come such high oil pressure?

I have a gauge screwed in the block, the leak is coming from between the intake and the block. I have a high volume pump. I can see every thing as it happens due to it being on a test stand. it doesn\'t leak right away only after about five min. getting exspensive buying new gaskets every time I pull the intake. p.s. I\'m using the Ultra Black gasket maker on the front and back of the intake the front has never leaked.

if the oil is coming out that fast you better get a mirror back there and look to see if the galley plug beneath the left cylinder head (1-3-5-7) is installed correctly. i have seen that many times. unfortunately it is partly shrouded by the cylinder head and it would have to be removed if thats the case.(if your block has one you will be able to see about half of it with the intake and cylinder head on) also, be sure your letting the rtv set up long enough. although there isnt any oil pressure in the lifter valley, your pcv system may have a problem or with new rings and cylinder hone you may be building up excessive crankcase pressure causing the rtv to roll out from between the intake and block.

That\'s still a lot of oil pressure. Is the oil getting back to the crankcase fast enough? Good point Doctor makes about positive pressure in the crankcase. Try running it with the crankcase vents open just to see how much pressure you\'re developing.

........ Whenever I apply RTV, I always make sure the mating surfaces are cleaned real well with solvent so the RTV can bonds real well. RTV doesn\'t stick so well to oil!http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif Maybe you could try dimpling the block and manifold surfaces with a centerpunch to help the \"slug\" of RTV to hold.

I\'ve been assembling it one day and starting it the next to insure the rtv is cured. the oil plug is in the block. the leak is visable because it is on a test stand I can stand behind it while it\'s running and see it. After pulling all the plugs #1 looks kinda oilly maybe I have a ring problem there causing crankcase pressure?

Are you using gasket or just using RTV? if you are using gasket try just leaving them out and placing a very thick bead of RTV aon the block thletting the intake press against it. That is the way I do it and have never had a problem, except the time I started it on the test stand without the PCV valve installed. It built up too much pressure and pushed it out in the rear.

.020ths milled on heads or intake or both if youve milled on you need to do both the intake and the heads to get proper sell also make sure you are using proper intake gasket ,some have wider ports that others,I run a bead of blk rtv along front and backafter I dimple the block let set up a few minutes depending on temp... then put on intake gasket make sure you run the silicone alittle ways up onto the head so the intake sits in it...something to consider? Good luck
