well, i got under the blazer today and all i saw was grease from the axle everywhere, I am pretty sure the axle is history. Thats ok, because i have been thinking of going to 2wd-T-56. If i do this, do i still have to use 4x4 headers, and for the LT1, can i use the Camaro accessory bracket or do i still have to get a corvette one? any other comments are greatly appreciated. Also, I can get a set of Weld Draglites 15x3 in front and 15x8 in back really cheap. what offset should i look for in these wheels? thanks in advance

I have done the 2WD conversion from 4X4. It is easy. I also have an extra, 3.73:1 gear front diff if you are interested.

If you convert to 2WD, the strut towers are still in the way for the 2WD headers, so you still need the 4X4 headers. All the other stuff will fit. A regular oil-pan will fit.

thanks man, do you know what a set of weld draglites would look like on the 4x4 offset? 15x3.5 fronts and 15x8 or 10 thanks again

The closet answer to the drag lite question is look at the pics of my truck - for offset. I am running 2wd rims on my truck. They stick out from the fender wells about 3\". It gives the illuision of being lifted more than just the 3\" body lift. The ones you lsit for the fronts probluy won\'t stick out more than 1-1 1/2\" I would think. But as for the rear, they probubly stick out 3\". The advanatage I would think is stablitity.

I have helped with one 4x4 to 2x4 conversion. We dropped in a stock 84 camaro 305 with the stock manifolds, ypipe and cat. Fit just fine. - Well, I would be better to say \'better than a 2wd\'. Stock oil pan too!

Hope that helped.
