ok i have the motor and transmission bolted together(91 350 tbi, 700 r4 auto) but i have just noticed something that is a problem . the motor is from a 91 1/2 ton and i installed the camaro low performance exhaust manifolds for better clearance- problem: the oil filter is attached via an \"L\" shaped bracket so it will screw on horizontally in stead of vertically and thus interfere with the drivers side exhaust. does anyone know of a compatible part i could replace it with?? http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif

I\'m not actually familiar with that bracket, but can\'t you just remove it and screw in the filter vertically?

I havn\'t seen one like that either but there should be 2 bolts attaching it to the block
Just replace it

Are you sure that\'s a Chevy engine? http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif Just kidding.... I never knew of such an adapter, but it might be handy in some installations!
......... But I\'m thinking like the others, just unbolt it and install a standard filter adapter.

Buy a \'Perma-Cool\' Oil Filter Relocator kit. Usually for around $60.00. This keeps your oil-filter away from your headers and keeps the oil cooler for better performance http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif
