What headers do you use on your truck. Have you used, or heard on anyone using the Slick-fit headers from Advance Adapters? Thanks in advance

I used Heddman shorties bought from summit for about 100 bucks they have a 1/4\" flange but they do the trick.

I have hedman elite headers. They have 3/8 flange and are thermal coated. Jegs has them for $255 (Jegs part # 500-6952http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_cool.gif

I also heard about those \"slick fit\" headers from advanced adapters. I was wondering if they would be a better investment than those *beep* quality headmans, quote- \"that will have to be replaced in a year\"-webmaster Mike

I know I said that, however, I have had mine on my truck for over 2 and a half years now, the parts that need replaced is the collector gasket that comes with them, if you use a better gasket these headers are alright, and for the money they are great.

i\'d never even heard of the \"slick fit\" well i guess i better check them out. I just got my headman longtubes JetHot coated, guess ill see how they look in a week or so. But i like the way they fit and i have never had a problem with them leaking and i take them out to change plugs and what not, and dont even change the gasket.lol

I haven\'t used the \"slick fit\" but I have seen them. God are they UGLY!! They look kinda like stock manifolds made from tubing. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif

I used Flowtech performance shorty hedders. They are made for the V8 conversion and fit perfectly.I had to run the steering shaft through them but nothing touches or rubs anywhere. They were only $199.00 can.

Those slick fit headers don\'t look too good. THe JTR book claims they flow just about as good as the LT1 manifolds!! Sanderson has the best quality shorty headers I have seen. I had a a pair of them and will be getting another set this winter, jet coated of course. And, a higher hp motor is gonna be restricted by the 1 1/2\" primaries the hedmans have. Sanderson offers their shorties in 1 1/2, 1 5/8\'s and 1 3/4\" primaries.

i have the hedman shorties. i first bought the hedman longtube and i hated the way the slip fitted together. they are obviously going to leak. also they hit the frame and the mounts made for the headers no matter which way i angled the motor. but one thing i changed on the shorty ones is that they give you 2\" colectors and man those are small. i ditched them and went with a set of 2.5\" and ran 2.5\" all the way back. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_cool.gif
