my dad and i were at the local chevy dealer this weekend to cash out and extended warranty, and while i was doing that, he went to look at the new colorado. he pointed out to me that all the tucks had a bed liner, except one. after looking at it we know why all the liners. ther floor is caulked innto place, on the bed floor itself, there is caulking. one load of gravel unloaded with a shovel, and it is toast. the caulk was very soft, and about 3/4\" in size. we looked some more, and saw the front suspension was strut,a nd the trans cross member bolted under the frame. sad, really. what is happening to GM?
also looked at full size, and the mileage is only 3-4 mpg worse on a full size with a v8, than a colorado with a 4. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif is GM trying to commit suicide?

by your description, either that or tailoring to the ppl who buy pick ups more. at least in the body design. since most ppl dont really haul anything heavy any more. they seem to be more of a status symbol to some people.

My brother bought one. He got it to haul his faimly and his lawn mowing equiptment trailer. He said it goes pretty good for a 4 door with an inline 5 cylinder. He didn\'t want a big full size for what he needed it for. He got it with the bedliner so he would scracth the paint with his tools.

Have you ever just wondered why GM went a build the s-10 bigger, named it colorado, and then still didn\'t have the balls to put in at least a small cube V8? True the i5 does good for its class but come on!

Has anyone noticed that Chevy did put a V-8 in an S-10? It may not be a pick up but they did put the 5.3L in the Trail Blazer extended body.
Such a shame huh?

You can get the V8 in the regular length Raineer, which is the same as the Trailblazer. They are quite a bit bigger than the S10 was though, and pretty damn heavy.
I work on the newer GMs such as the Colorado, Trailblazer and others. I used to be a Ford guy but switched to GM. The best choice I ever made. GM is destroying thier cars by making junk. Poor designs and junky parts. Most of Gm lines are made in Mexico and now Japan.
