center console

OK here\'s the deal....



I have 2 bucket seats I installed into my S10, and I would like to either make or buy a center console for it. The thing is the 2 seats that I put into it came out of a mitsubishi mirage and are rather wide. So I need to make or buy something thin, yet long enough to reach up to my b&m shifter. I\'ve been searching around the net for some ideas, but have yet to find anything. Could anyone give me some names of websites with examples, or tell me what kind of console I could fit in there. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

I got stock s10 buckets out of a blazer and they bolted right up then I had a center console I got from walmart or something and cut it in half then tacked a board on the back. Now I still have to cup holders and a big and little compartment in it. So I basically just cut the back cup holders off.

i built my console out of sheet metal. works great with the slap shift and goes from firewall to back wall with a big ass compartment.

We maid mine from foam and covered it in fiberglass mat, laid the gel coat to it and sanded it out smooth

one word... cutlass.... i have a console from a cutlass in my 51 pontiac it\'s really narrow and these things are everywhere in wrecking yards you can get it with a 4 speed shifter or 3 speed in virtually any color you want... just depends on how long you want to look... or if you wanted i\'d try one from a camaro, you can get aftermarket ratchet shifters that fit into them with no mods abnd look stock after
