Well, I finally got around to removing a couple leafs from my leaf packs. It took a bit of time though. Approx. 1.5 hrs. It would have taken longer had i tried to do it in my driveway. i ended up having to heat the u-bolt nuts to get them off. I just burnt off the bolt holding the pack together which was nice and quick. Other than that, everything went very smooth.
The truck is now a couple of inches lower in the rear, which is what i wanted, plus it is now soooo much nicer to drive. no more jarring of the back over bumps the way i was before.
All and all, very happy with the finished product.
All i can say is... thank god for torches....
Cheers!

Ain\'t it great when a plan comes together?
........ What did you use for centering bolts? (holding the pack together)

Yeah, i was pretty happy with the end result.
We used the actual center bolts that are supposed to be used.
One of the benefits of having access to a stocked service centre, we didn\'t have to go out for any parts or jimmy anything together. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

I\'m gonna get those belltech drop leafs to replace mine because the torque was too much for the back right leaf pack. There all bent and twisted to shit. These drop leafs are a two leaf setup.

Yeah, I did mine a while back and was very happy. It is almost perfectly level with the front now, and the ride is much smoother. Plus all it takes is time and maybe new u bolts. I used 2\" drop spindles in the front with stock 4.3 springs. Better ride, nicer look and better weight transfer- who wouldn\'t be happy.

If you have a 4 leaf pack take the middle two. If it is a 3 leaf pack take the middle one.
