lengthes ... stock drive shaft

ok i pulled the 4cl out along with the 5 speed and sold them ... before meshuring the trany.. sorry i wasent thinking... any ways the shaft will go in the 350 turbo and a lot of tranys i have checked and tryed... but how long is the stock 5 speed my 350t short shaft is 29-30 inches is the 5 speed shorter or longer...

once ya get the motor and tranny set where ya wants it! them measure it , if it doesn\'t fit take the measurements to a shop to have them make it for u ! thats what i did!

The t350 with the short (6 inch) is aprox 3 inches short. The long tail t350 is very similar in length but you would probably be moving the engine back further than the stock trans location for clearance in the front of the engine so that wouldn\'t help much. I think around here it cost me 75 to get a driveshaft lengthened and that was at a place that puts them together for tractor trailer trucks so I never doubted the quality. I have read before about someone with a t350 like yours taking their measurements to a local salvage yard and dug through a pile and found what they needed and I think it was actually from a monte carlo or malibu. Best to gwet yours lengthened or just have them make a whole new one.
