Set them tight if you got 600hp. If you really have 600hp, have fun hooking that up.LOL Usually 450hp is the cut off for a leaf spring setup on an S10.

That would be a good start. Once you have done that, try a couple of launches and see how it tracks. I think you will have to set the right side tighter than the left to try and keep it straight. Tune it by how it feels and reacts.

have you had experience with the slide-a-link? i went to the track on agood nite with my old set up and run a 6.84 at 102,but then i went on a cruise- in nite (slick track)and couldn\'t run no faster than a 7.07 ,spinning about 100 ft. w/out no nitrous either time.

I have helped a buddy with his slide a links. Sounds like you don\'t have enough preload, do you have them as tight as they will go? Or do they have more play. What tires do you have and what size? If you have such traction problems, you may need a better set up for that much power.

This is from the internet. Hope this helps!
Place the rear half of the bar into the rear mount. For a starting point, Competition Engineering recommends tightening the driver side only until the urethane spacer contacts the arm at both ends. adjust the bars on the passenger side until the spacer touches. then give it another quarter turn.
So, what are these bars supposed to do? When properly adjusted, they will eliminate axle wrapup. Axle wrapup occurs when your car is launched hard, e.g., the start of a drag race. As the wheels turn forward, the axle housing will want to rotate in the opposite direction. When the spring has wrapped up as far as it can, the energy in the spring forces it to return to its normal location. This occurs violently, and the force of the returning spring can force the car upward, unloading the weight of the car off the tires. When the weight of the car is off the tires, they will spin. The diagram illustrates axle wrapup.

You get them tires to tuck under? If so are you mini tubbed? My 28 x 10.5 stick out 1/2\".

not tubbed ,9inch narrowed,10 \'\' dragstar 3 1/2 backspace ,about 1/2\" clearance on the inside between the frame and tire(close),don\'t rub though .i have a set of the factory rubber flares on the back and the tread is pretty much equal with the flare. can\'t remember how much i narrowed the rear ,it\'s been a while.
