I lowered my 86 blazer 3 inches up front and 4 inches in the rear. The back now sits lower then the front. When I measure the wheel wells the back sits at 25 3/4\" and the front sits at 28\". I know that the front wheel well comes up on the body more then the rear so I measured the frame. Rear sits at 6\" off the ground and the front is at 6\". So if the frame is level, why can I tell by looking at it that the body sits lower in the rear? I checked the body mounts and the rears do not seem to be cruched (although I have not measured yet). Also, my front end is really bouncy. I used brand new coils and shocks up front. The shocks are nitros from AIM Industries. Anyone ever use these shocks? Are they junk? Oh and the lowering kit was new coils, shocks up front (3\" drop) and the rear was 4\" blocks with old shocks.

I have not heard of good things coming from AIM. I would stay away.

The truck should have sat 1 inch higher in the back than the front before you started. Its very comman for the front springs to sit a little higher than what they were described to sit. Usually you have to waite a week or so for the new front coils to \"break in\". After @ that time frame then go back and re-measure. it will probubly be really close to the new \"correct\' hieght.
Shocks do not control ride hieght. Except if thier air or coil-over \'ride rite\' shocks.

I would make sure the springs are seated right in the upper pocket. There aresome tabs that center the spring. I could see a little difference, but the front is 3\" higher when it should be even.

Like Space said, they\'ll need to break in up front. Give it about a week of driving, then measure again.

the frame gets much thicker in the rear so the only method that you can rely on is measuring before and after.

ok, I know that shocks don\'t control the ride height. I was wondering if anyone had/has any expirence with AIM shocks cause the front end is really bouncy, like it has no shocks. I have driven for about 3-4 weeks. The springs are seated in the pockets.
Does anyone know what the stock heights are front and rear?
