I bought AIM industries Nitro shocks with my lowering kit. The front end is REALLY bouncy, like the shocks are worn out. I push the front end down, and it will bounce like 4-5 times before settling. Are AIM shocks junk? If so, what is a good shock to use? I will be putting in a 350/350 combo this winter and want good shocks for the new motor. (can\'t go to fast bouncin everywhere like a pogo stick)

According to the information on the web site, it should not do that. I would contact them and talk to them about it.

I have contacted them. They said that the shocks that they sent are the right part number so they won\'t do anything.

Still need a recommendation on some good shocks, though.

Thanks

I have Toxic Shocks in the front. I use them on my 3\" drop control arms. They sit nice and provide good control.

I am using the Napa Grande shocks. - Basicly the heavy duty gas shocks that napa sells. THey work good. No Complanits.

If you are lowering the truck or raising it (if it were a 4x4) I would not recomend Sense-A-Tracs. They are designed to move easily within 1 inch +or- of center of factory ride hieght. Once they travel beyond the inch, they get stiff like any other HD shock.

I prefer stiff suspension in a vehicle. I think they handle better, corner better and stop better. Besides, you never rode in a corvette that rode like an impala.

I have the expensive ones from AutoZone (a whole $25.99ea.) and it rides pretty damn good. They\'re probably very similar to the NAPA ones. A little harsher ride than most vehicles, but handles much better.

eldabrock IAS performer shocks. they run 70 each but the best street shock i ever felt on a dropped car or truck. rides just like a vette or camaro instead of the typical bouncy lowrider. i had them on my 87 monte ss 3\" drop F/B and now on my s10 blazer. they are the best. JMO.

I\'m using Summit\'s sport truck shocks with Bell tech spindles. No problems with extra boucing or control. I don\'t want to bad mouth AIM\'s products, because I\'ve purchase several things from them. However, they seem to be one of those companies that gives you a hard time about returns. Just my 2 cents.

a cheap alternative for a lowered s series would be for a mid 80\'s malibu they are a bit shorter than a s-10 shock.
