what size fan would keep a v8 s10 cool? Mr gaskets sell 12\" fans that pull 1400 CFM and only draw 10 amps. Can i get away with running two of these on a corvette rad and not have it over heat? What kinda CFM should i look to get out of two fans? I need to stick with a 12\" fan so that they are thin enough to fit in my truck. Anyone have any ideas?

mark VIII electric fans move over 3000cfm and cost about 150 bucks or there around maybe a little more or find one in a j yard or ebay

The part number is F8LH 8C607 AA and is available from Houston Performance or do a search on google or something

check jegs, they have the perma-cool high performance fans, pull 2950 CFM, i have the 14\" and it keeps my blown 350 cool almost all the time!

Pie R Squared. Assuming they move the same cfm/sq in.

Taurus fans are supposed to flow crazy numbers, like 5000+cfm.

A lot of people have luck with them, however I have not... but I think it\'s my radiator

Taurus fans come in 2 versions...a shallow one with a flat motor and a deeper one that sounds like the one you got. It has a fat motor. Prowl the junkyards and you\'ll find the flat ones. Mine came off an early 90s Taurus wagon and it works great. Pulls so much current, though, that you need it on a seperate circuit/ fuzed and relayed.

my taurus fan can almost start a tornado under my hood... get the slimmer one. i believe from the 3.8, not the 3.0l engine.
