Don\'t have pics, no scanner or digital camera im a poor boy... but i have an 89\' extended cab S-10 with a mild 355, big cam, worked 305 heads, intake, carb, 700r4 trans have a sweet set of aluminum heads on the way, maybe someday nitrous. As of right now I have almost $1000 into my truck... Got a lot of sweet deals on stuff, not bad for a poor 17 y.o whiteboy took me 2 months and many busted knuckles...

I don\'t have a scanner I do this from work.

I have an 83 s10 long box, nice working 350 that was in it when I bought with a 7r behind it.

Just had a 355 built balanced, thick lump stick, Vortec heads still with the 194 valves, whiny gear drive,Holley 750 double pumper with the proform body sitting on an Edelbrock RPM performer.

This will be mated to a 350 turbo, with shift kit,and a 3000 stall.

Just had the axle gutted and put in a posi with 3:42, looking to soften the rear springs and add a set of ladder bars.

Finally the truck sits 5.5\" lower in the front and the back sits 4.5\" lower till the springs are softened. I don\'t wish to say what I have invested its kind of sick, perfomance parts are alot more expensive in Canada.

i have an 83 gmc s15 sierra extended cab 2 wheel drive. bought it for 400, solid body 4 cyl, 5 speed. drove it for a week and the motor went. i was gonna drop in a 327 i had, but i decided to save it for a nova i dont have yet. so, instead i bought a formerly hot rodded 78 olds cutlass from some guys angry exwife for 100 dollars. it had a 4 bolt 72 truck 350 in it, edelbrock performer manifold, holley 650 cfm carb, and accel hei setup. it also had a turbo 400 tranny which i sold for 250, and a 10 bolt posi rear which i am trying to sell with the car. i am gonna freshen up the motor with 10.5:1 pistons, a gm 350 horse spec cam, and new gaskets and seals. the motor will be backed by a t5 out of a 90 z28. out back is a posi disc brake 9inch ford rear with 323 or 383, not sure yet. will be lowered and repainted factory orange.

my truck is a 1992 jet black short bed with a 350 motor and i just took my solid cam out and put in a new hrdralic cam with 285 dura on one side and 306 dur on the other with .506 and .525 lift ..,11 - 1 forged pistons fully ported 461 casting heads with 2.02 and 1.60 valves i also have a gear drive with a tunnel ram intake and 2 holley 600 cfm carbs..a holley 14 pound pump all with steel bradied line coming from my 8 gallon alinmium fuel tank which is mounted in the bed of my truck ..i put it in the bed so i could run true 3in dual flowmasters out the rear..as for the tranny it;s a 350 turbo with a 3000 -3200 stall with a nice kit in it ..the rear is stock but it has a aburn posi track in it with 4.11 gears ...it also has the full lenght headers made by super comp.as for the interior i only have one seat in it for now but i plan on getting one more later and it has a 5 point harrness...my gagues are where the radio was ..i put a piese of aliumin in there ......the cost of the truck so far is about 2000.00 dollars ...i did a lot of trading and side work ..but it is worth it..i never tell my time because there is people on here that live near me and i don\'t want them knowing my time untill i make some money from them at the track http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif and as far as the cooling i used a camaro radiator with a good pump and a 180 stat with a 12in puller elertic fan and it nevers gets... hot well thats my truck if i had to do it again i would use shortie headers and used the factory interior and kept the a/c and power steering http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif so keep this going and lets hear what you all have

My truck...86 S15 short box , paid $400 bucks for it acouple years ago. Dropped 3\" in the front with spindles, stock 4cly springs but i have a set of V6 ones from a extended cab that i will soon put in. 3\" blocks in the back. Rear springs are from a GMC Syclone. 3.42 limited slip rearend. Made my own sway bars. Front is a 1.25\" ( yes inch and a quarter, just ran out and measured it ) Rear is a .875\", i took them off a burn\'t out IROC...i think it had the 1LE option. Both had to be narrowed 6\", i made my own mounts for the back. Front sits in the stock location. All new steering, used poly bushings on everything in the front. Steering box is from a 87 Trans Am GTA, Motor built by myself..see list below... 700R4, stock rebuild, stock converter. Radiator is a Modine vette, with a flex fan. Currently have interior ripped out, got a nice set of Recaro seats, gonna put in new carpet and a B&M Megashifter. Body need alot of work i will try to take a picture, but i don\'t think its worth the film...lol.

Motor..

1973 4bolt main, bored 30 over.

Cast pistons, flat tops..9.5 to 1 compression.

Elgin cam. 292 duration 480 lift.

Double roller timing chain.

World Products S/R Torquer heads 202 stainless valves, LT1 springs.

1.5 ratio long slot rockers.

Edelbrock Performer RPM intake gasket matched by myself.

1 inch spacer.

Holley 750 vacume secondary carb, #73 jets.

Polymer valve covers.

Stock HEI with Accell wires.

Headman shorties. 2 1/4 duals with Thrush turbo mufflers.

Drivetrain is pretty much complete, a few minor things yet. Body is next. Cromallusion silver will be the color, and then some nice big Baer racing brakes....and maybe a cage... and..well you know how it goes..lol

Hello all, I\'m new this forum, but I hope to gather alot of info for my V8S10 project.

I just purchased an 82 s10 bone stock with the 2.8. I bought a 350 that needs rebuilding and plan to make it a seasonal ride since I\'m in Alaska.

My other ride is a 92\' Sonoma with the stock 2.8, except it is more of a suspension project. It is lowered with a 5/7 static drop and I am gonna bag it in the spring.

I have pics but they are ugly. If you want to see them I will be taking more pics this weekend and then I will submit them in the gallery. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif

Well, this is a little late in coming but in defense of Gary\'s car.....it\'s a \'69 Camaro, weighs prolly 3-500lbs more than a similarly equipped S10. He\'s ran 11.48@119 now, plus it\'s at 3600ft elevation. The NHRA correction factor for altitude puts that at 10.97@125mph. The factor is right, I\'ve tested it with my Camaro running in Houston and then in Roswell 2 weeks later.

My ride (not an S10, but dammit I want one now!) has a simple setup:

1990 Mustang GT

stock heads and valves (1.74\"/1.54\" valves)

stock long runner intake

stock 60mm throttle body

stock shortblock

B-303 cam (.480\"/.480\" 224*/224* 112LSA)

3.73 gears

1 5/8\" shorties

2 1/2\" off road exhaust with 2-chambers

76mm mass air

some suspension and weight removal

It runs 12.89@104.1 in Roswell, and that\'s a bottom 12.3@109 or so at sea level. Spraying I run an 11.70@115.

my truck is under construction. i have a 90 reg cab. paid $1500 for it. it has a straight body, just needs paint and has no rust nowhere that i have found. putting a sb400 bored 60 over(praying for the cooling gods to bless it)mild cam, intake, headers, rims and tires.gonna lower it once the motor is installed.taking the truck up to the shop in the next couple of weeks so i can get it prepped for the paint while i finish getting the machined work done. haven\'t decided which tranny to run yet t350 or 700r. one thing is for sure it is kinda tough to find good sb400 parts or at least it seems that way

I gotta add to mine. Picked up another 92, but its a standard cab, short bed truck. All primer, no motor/tranny. Has 4.11 spool rear. Looks to be very solid. Was a 5 speed. I have a rear, and a tranny already just laying around. I think Im gonna see how fast I can go with this one, for as little money as possible. Oh, I got it for $360

well my truck\'s gunna sound lame compared to everything else here... i\'ve got a 87 s-10 3 inch beltech drop kit, i baught a 350 off of a freind of mine that he rebuilt a year ago and put about 1000 miles on it... i traded a 77 pontiac ventura with no engine and every body panel on it was screwed for a 700r out of a 92 camaro (i had to give the guy my 2.8 too... ha ha not like i lost anything) my 3.42 posi blew up so i found a drum to drum 3.08 open diff out of a 91 s-10 for 50 bucks trew it in... thinkin about welding the spider gears though untill i can afford a eaton... i swiped a ancient offenhauser intake off my 51 pontiac coupe... i\'m still running the dreadfull rochester quadrajet... had the truck painted the factory grey and most new body panels and chrome... 16\" iroc wheels gunna sedn em away and get them polished the engine\'s pretty well stock 76cc chambers, with 1.94 valves, mild porting a really small .447\" lift cam.. kinda lame... but when i get better heads i\'ll upgrade... all in all i only put about $900 into the v8 conversion... i havn\'t ran it at the track but i\'ll post my times when i find out and i\'ll post some pics when we get a digital camera

I fegot some thing my paint. it\'s jet gloss black with purple ghost flames comming out of the front wheel wells and up over the hood, over the roof, and onto the fiberglass tonou cover. it\'s all finished with 3 coats of clear with a bottle of pearl in each coat. very sparkly.

91 shortbed Tahoe S10 w ZZ4 w hotcam. resent removal of fastburn heads. advanced the cam and used 1.5int and 1.6 exh to boost the compression on the vette heads. Dont trust the truck where the 430HP pushed it. Opted for the Low end torque that coupled to a tricked out 700R4 and 4:10. I launch so far out infront of my opponents that I let up at the speed limit. letting them know not to waste my time. Of course this is helped with the drag radials that have a plate of T1 Steel on the frame over them for traction. The truck is all GM and is Cat-ed with air pump. Heat/AC, becool rad, serpentine belt, Demon, coated headers repainted w chrome and molding redone. SS wheels. Truck looks like a truck. I will be posting pics soon. It was featured in HotRod reader rides Apirl 2002 in its earlier stages

boy everyone likes to brag don\'t they? 5 pages worth of stuff. i have a 91 sonoma reg cab shortbed just like a lot of other people do i see. so far i have: painted underneath the hood compartment, taken off the box and painted up the frame, new gabriel shocks in the back, and spiffed up the interior with some new carpeting, and bucket seats. She looks real impressive sittin there in my garage motorless. plans are to drop a 350/350 in there. bore it out .030, heads milled .030, flat top pistons, rebuild that damn quadrajet, some kind of cam and intake, and get a transmission that is GOOD. its really breaking my heart sitting there all this time.. since about march 2003. Could anyone float me a loan =) ?
