hey. out of curiosity. your trucks have to be calibrated im kph right. what im getting at here is on the american models mph is listed on the outside of the speedo with kph listed in the inside. on the canadian models is that reversed? like with the kph scale on the outside and mph on the inside?



the reason i ask is because on mine it reads as high as 85 on the mph side but it reads 140 on the kph side. what i wanna do is calibrate my speedo to read off the kph scale just in mph so i can see how fast im going when im barrelin ass down the highway. if its reversed im gonna pick up a canadian instrument cluster.

yes it is reversed, mine goes to 85 mph on the inside and 140 kph on the outside.

Car-Parts.com lists parts for Canada. I took a quick look and you can search in Canada for the speedometer. You may need to call them to make sure.

wel.... if you didnt need the tach, i do have one i could send to you... it does have a shift light, but i think all but 1 or 2 bulbs are blown... and its all idiot lights....

I have one you can have. I\'ll have to check to see if it has a tach. I have both types, one for speed sensor and one for cable speedo. They are just sitting around right now. I can\'t get a look at them till the weekend. If you pm me on friday to remind me, i\'ll check them out.

damn bro. your the man. id be needin it with the tach and the cable speedo. another thing i didnt mention. its the 86 and later setup where the speedo and tach face each other.

if im not mistakin even if you switch them it will still read the mph side you cant make it read the kph as mph such as it will read you are doin 100kph and you will be goin 62mph http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif

but the canadian and american models are exactly the same except the kph and mph numbers are switched around

what i meant was to get a different gear for the speedo so it turns the cable at a slower speed. if i kept my spedo i have now i would put a gear in it that read 62 mph when i was really doin 100. therefore if i put the speedo in it thats in kph if im doin 100 itll read 100.

I think I understand, you want the speedo to read in KPH but you want to be going that speed in MPH?
