Well, it is happening. It is starting to snow with a storm on its way. The truck will not see daylight until April – May.

that\'s why it\'s nice to have a winter toy as well - my new subaru WRX. Just ordered my H-rated snow tires. I still haven\'t gotten a chance to try it out in the white stuff yet, but I\'m looking forward to it.
My truck is out of commission anyway. Will be back next spring with a fresh 383.

It\'s a 2002 and I absolutely LOVE it.
I bought it used with 35K on it and the previous owner had already installed a TEIN (one of the best on the market) full adjustable coilover kit (ride height, camber/caster & damping) and a set of 18\" wheels/tires.
I also got the stock rims/tires (which I\'ll be mounting the snow tires on) and the original suspension so I can go back to stock if I want. I got all that for $500 under blue book! I just put a brake kit on it too. It\'ll hang with vettes in the twisties, and pretty much destroy anything in the rain, but still seems too slow - it\'d be perfect with a V8 under the hood ha ha. Actually, the little intercooled turbo 4 banger is pretty impressive when matched with the manual trans. The only mods I\'m gonna add are full exhaust and engine management - manufacturer\'s claim (Cobb Tuning) their customers see an average of 285 flywheel hp (55hp increase) and mid-high 13s in the 1/4 with only those two mods. Then I\'m done - it\'s gotta be reliable for my every day commute.

Oh GREAT... I guess we\'re gonna be hearing this all winter... How Andy\'s wonderful little Friggin\' WRX just flies up & down the \"mountains\" of New Jersey in sleet and snow... while I\'m slipping and sliding in my 2WD \'94 stepside.... http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif Hell, I\'ve been known to get stuck in the A&P parking lot.... after it\'s been plowed! http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_mad.gif http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif
.......... It\'s tough to beat AWD in shitty weather... in fact, pretty tough to beat AWD just about anywhere, INCLUDING the dragstrip! And I guess Subaru did write the book on AWD......
......... I can\'t wait for the first robin to appear in the spring... http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif

Yes, I would agree, Winter is now HERE!!!!
I would say Yahooooo, but I won\'t. I too hate the white sit! I do like to make a couple bucks pushing it around, but can\'t stand cold weather. My truck was actually built for use during the cold weather.
For those who turn wrenchs for a living, you\'ll agree if you live in the snow belt, I understand why the POW-MIA soldiers hated water torture. It really does sux when you lift a snow covered car to do a service and you have road salt snow balls droping on your head. And the salty water running down your forehead burning the hell out of your eyes!http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_eek.gif
I hate to be cold that much, that I start my truck 20 min before I go to work in the winter so it is nice and warm for my 9 1/2 minute ride to work. Yes, my truck seems to average 8 mpg during the winter.
