Other than removing the carpet completely than that is the only way I could think of.

I found these on the Internet:
How do I remove antifreeze from my car’s carpet and upholstery?
To remove antifreeze from your car’s carpet and upholstery, BISSELL recommends pretreating with the BISSELL Tough Stain Precleaner. When used in combination with the BISSELL Little Green®, the Little Green Formula and the Tough Stain Precleaner will work together and lift the antifreeze from the surface.
I detail cars for a living, and when we get a car with really dirty carpets, we un bolt the seat and take out the carpet, then just pressure wash them and let it dry really good before we put it back in. Works great.

thanks guys. i\'m not worried about stains cuz my carpet\'s black and old, i just don\'t want a coolant smell and it\'s still soaking wet after 2 weeks. do you know if the coolant could have gotten through and ruined my floorboards?

i thought so too, but it says on the back of the container that if i spill any on my truck, i should wipe it up immediately, cuz it\'s corrosive http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif and i spilled some on my dad\'s tablesaw, wiped it up, but it was still wet and the next day it\'s covered in rust.

OK, you guys will think I\'m nuts but this works great. I have cleaned up quite a few cars, ones I have sold, my kids car and even my work car. I take out the carpet and hang it up and pressure wash it. Let it dry compleatly then spray paint it. Yes, spray paint, the \"K\"mart kind, nothing special. Give it a coat and let it dry then fluff it up with a stiff brush then give it another coat. Give it a few until it\'s even all over and it will look and wear like new. I can post some pictures of ones I have done if anyone is interested. And yes, it\'s a trick I learned after moving to Tennessee http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif
