Hey guys, quick question. I am currently working on wiring up my motor/truck with a painless kit and i started wondering. I rebuilt my motor, first one ever. I used a book to help. I am wondering how easy the motor should spin after its together using my bare hands grabbing the harmonic balancer. It spun within 35-40 lbs when i put in the last piston a couple months ago, but it just seems kind of tight now. I can barely spin it with my hands and that worries me. I was trying it with the transmission(4 speed) in nuetral and then i took it off completely to try it but its still real tight. Let me know what you guys think.

Any engine that sits will have the oil drain down into the bottom of the pan. Also a new motor is set up \"tight\" so it shouldn\'t turn over that easy when \'new\'. If it is going to sit for any more time I would shoot a little oil down the spark plug holes to help keep the cylinders moist.

Thanks for the tip, I was getting worried, its been sitting pretty much since the end of summer and now that im ready to wire it up i just want to make sure that its normal for it to be tight like that
